Moca GA 2014

20140609-173841.jpg

Just the other night on June 7th a fashion show and Exhibit were held at Moca Art Gallery off Bennett street. Showcasing Abbey Glass and Megan Huntz Fall Collections, two of the most outstanding designers out of Atlanta. Factory Girls hosted the show at Moca. Factory Girls is a local fashion incubator for designers to grow through there resources and business experience.

I have had an amazing opportunity to have been interning for Abbey Glass since October of 2013. She is a truly awesome person and designer. I love working for her and seeing her creative process throughout the whole process. I learned a lot of work goes on between here and there. There being- getting the collection finalized and show cased. the drive she has is unbelievable, and the about of stress and pressure she is put on her is crazy how she is always cool, calm and collective. honestly her work speaks for itself, each of her collections are absolutely stunning. She has this old school modern touch to her with this great eye of portraying a story within her garments. That’s one thing I love most about her work she creates a story as a platform for her collections and goes from there into the creating process. Abbey looks at Medical slides and sees fashion. I think she is the next big thing of Atlanta and will touch the New York market shortly.

Kissie and I had the pleasure of working with my friend Aspen Evans, a photography major at Scad. She has an amazing drive for what she does and goes over and beyond in all areas academics and with any work related feilds. She is 19 and is already a senior at Scad. She is interning at Factory Girls, Jezebel, College Fashionista, and Les Nouvelles as a photography intern. I have had the chance to work with her several times as well as intern at Factory girls with her. Click on the link below and check out her work : http://www.behance.net/AspenCierraPhoto

I (Scooby) am wearing a basic, sporty look I pulled pieces from affordable places to create this look. My Top was from the Basic line at forever 21 as well as the grey sweat pants. My shoes are from H&M, I love high tops because they add length to even out any missing gaps that pants create. I have been digging the sports wear look on the runway and through out the streets. I love how its fashionably expectable to pair dresses with tennis shoes and baseball caps.

Kissie is wering a basic White dress from forever 21, with a long sleeved crop top layered over top. She wore a basic black baseball cap to convey the sporty look. Then gave the look a more personal touch with her Huff socks and black Dr. Martens. This girl loves Dr. Martens she has collected two pairs but I’m sure the list will grow. Kissie is 17 and about to be a senior in high school she has a real eye for fashion. So follow her on Instagram @barefooted_kid.

Stay tuned to more street style shot by lovely Aspen!

xoxo,

Today we ventured to Candler Park for their Food and Music festival. It was a lot of fun and we gained a new favorite band, Family and Friends. They had such a free spirit to them and a passion about what they were doing it made you want more. The weather held off and made for a great day. Afterwards we got bubble tea Kissie’s favorite. In the process of parking we got honked and yelled at by some old Chinese man for parking in his spot. Other then that today was a grand day, we enjoyed seeing the creative souls of this city and other cities. Today we styled ourselves in festival wear, Kissie more neutral tones. Her Top was from Forever 21, Her shorts and necklace were from Forever 21 as well. Her fringe crochet vest was found at T.J Max. I went with a look that may come across as a little witch like haha but I was dressed in H&M and Thrifted items.

Seventies Love Child

My good friend and favorite photographer Bob Wooley out of Atlanta, Ga shot these rocking shots. I always love having the pleasure to shoot with him because I think he has such a creative eye and style to his work. He loves to explore and create and sometimes goes into shooting without a plan but either way comes out with remarkable outcomes. His work speaks for itself. Check out his work at http://bobwooley.com/

We used my tapestry in some posts as a background which I acquired from Urban Outfitters. Stay stellar folks

May 17, 2014 my two sisters and I had a rather dashing time at party in the park together. It was a day full of adventures, Dead cell phones and stellar music like MGMT and Girl talk! We paid for over price food and drinks and left with a little bit of an empty wallet and a cool Mexican blanket. I enjoyed my company and the the sound waves as well.
Peace out brothers and sisters
