Kissie and I had the pleasure of working with my friend Aspen Evans, a photography major at Scad. She has an amazing drive for what she does and goes over and beyond in all areas academics and with any work related feilds. She is 19 and is already a senior at Scad. She is interning at Factory Girls, Jezebel, College Fashionista, and Les Nouvelles as a photography intern. I have had the chance to work with her several times as well as intern at Factory girls with her. Click on the link below and check out her work : http://www.behance.net/AspenCierraPhoto

I (Scooby) am wearing a basic, sporty look I pulled pieces from affordable places to create this look. My Top was from the Basic line at forever 21 as well as the grey sweat pants. My shoes are from H&M, I love high tops because they add length to even out any missing gaps that pants create. I have been digging the sports wear look on the runway and through out the streets. I love how its fashionably expectable to pair dresses with tennis shoes and baseball caps.

Kissie is wering a basic White dress from forever 21, with a long sleeved crop top layered over top. She wore a basic black baseball cap to convey the sporty look. Then gave the look a more personal touch with her Huff socks and black Dr. Martens. This girl loves Dr. Martens she has collected two pairs but I’m sure the list will grow. Kissie is 17 and about to be a senior in high school she has a real eye for fashion. So follow her on Instagram @barefooted_kid.

Stay tuned to more street style shot by lovely Aspen!

xoxo,

Todays attire was my usual inspiration festival wear. Yes I was not attending one, but the vibes we love so much form concerts, festivals, etc.. we should continue them throughout everything. The feelings we feel we should convey.

We ended our venture in little five points, where we ran into our good friends the nomads.

Jewelry Making in little five is a big thing with the girls and guys down there. Wire wrapping especially is the most stellar and unique work of art. I love seeing the creations of the creative minds down there!

READ MORE ABOUT KING OF POPS

http://atlanta.kingofpops.net/about/our_story

“If you’ve heard a story about our beginnings, it was more than likely a tale of one person overcoming a corporate layoff or of a lawyer eschewing the courtroom for the kitchen. While both of these things happened, neither is the whole story…

King of Pops was conceived overlooking the beach in Central America many years ago. Three adventurous brothers, born of a fruit-smoothie-loving mother, were taking a break from a day of exploration to talk about life and love, but mainly paletas- the Latin American ice pops they had fallen in love with during their travels.

That trip would, as trips tend to do, eventually come to an end, but these three gringos never stopped dreaming of paletas. It became an obsession to bring these delicious fresh-fruit creations back home with them to share with the good people of Atlanta.

Eventually, the youngest brother, Steven, was a victim of massive layoffs at his employer, AIG. There were no more excuses not to follow his dreams and King of Pops was born. No longer laboring inside a cramped cubicle, Steven was now laboring inside his own cramped kitchen. With the help of his brother Nick (the lawyer), their family, and a handful of friends, he began to experiment with a variety of techniques and recipes in an effort to recapture the essence of those first pops he had enjoyed years ago.

After countless hours of trial and error, King of Pops opened its first cart, much like the ones that had inspired the brothers years before. The original Poncey-Highland location was a quick success and soon carts could be seen popping up (pun intended) at local farmers markets and festivals.

Eventually, all-night pop making sessions weren’t enough, and it was time for Nick to come on board full time. He decided to leave his stable job as a lawyer to work on what he and his little brother had dreamt together.

Today our team is growing and we have our own kitchen (some of us even have business cards now!), and we have enlisted close friends to spread our vision to nearby cities. Our goal, however, remains the same: to provide an ecologically responsible, fresh, all-natural frozen treat in a fun neighborhood environment.

We still toil late into the night in the kitchen and you can often find Steven slinging pops at that original Poncey-Highland location or (if you get up early enough) you can see Nick picking through fresh fruit at the farmers market.

We love making pops. We hope you love eating them.”

Spring Break with my partner in crime, we explored the vast lagoons of Hilton Head and Tybee Island. We are still venturing and exploring the beautiful people of this city. As well as basking in the sand and absorbing the worlds light. So we are still conquering this city and al it has to offer, so we will be continued……

I purchased two palettes from forever 21, a Flower Child pallet and a Natural Palette. The natural pallet reminded me of how the naked palette from Urban decay is set up. I thought well eight dollars verses fifty so I thought Id give it a go. So far I do like it, in comparison to the naked palette pretty much you get the quality of what you pay for.

Forever 21 has came out with a full on beauty line, Im very interested to check out the rest of it.

I love the Daisies and the name is what caught my eye- FLOWER CHILD

This is the color Palette for the flower child, so in comparison to the natural one it is very versatile being able to bring your look from day to night.

The right kind of brushes really determinate’s the outcome of your makeup and brushes are best to have a blended more professional look. I love when I get a new purse and am able to buy all new makeup and little gadgets to go inside. Its like going to school on the first day and all the preparation you just want all new things. My purse will have its first debut soon ( I’ts first day of school-life on the streets) very soon. So spruce up your bathroom drawers or makeup bags with some cutesy items. We are changing seasons so ladies please do some spring cleaning.

We started are adventure at Goodwill and looked for something that caught our eye. We went dressed relaxed in a homeless/ boho look, a very relaxed comfortable look. Always best for shopping because your in comfortable shoes so you can shop till you drop and defiantly more convent for trying on garments. I always keep in mind anything can be cute, if paired and accessorized the right way. I came out of goodwill today with some high wasted white jean Chicos, I cant wait to rock them.

To end our shopping day on a sweet note we went to Gabriel’s for lunch and dessert. Today was a success and might I add how fashionably cute my mom looks with her J crew style going on. Theres a cool story behind the restaurant owners, heres a snip it of their story on their page:

“Since 1989, Johnnie Gabriel has been in the business of baking. It could be said that Johnnie’s talent for cooking and baking is genetic, with one of America’s favorite cooks, Paula Deen, as her cousin. But Johnnie’s baking career did not begin as a conscious choice.

She along with husband, Ed, began baking on nights and weekends to supplement their income during the tough times, a recession and college tuition bills can bring. Johnnie had watched her mother and grandmother bake desserts and cook meals for their family, and reasoned that she too could make enough cakes to make a difference.”

Today I wanted to take a skater/grudge/somewhat chic perspective. I went to forever 21 and like most times get lost then become even more lost. My findings become even more random, Then I pari all the randomness together. Why not! So today I took a Marvel Crop top from Forever 21 for 12.80. Paired it with a nylon blue high rise skirt. I wore crew socks with a pair of open toed mary janes. For another look I toped it all off with a hat from urban outfitters for 5$!

Which concludes todays simple but random outfit happy monday be as cloud minded as you want mates!

“The eskimos had Fifty-two names for snow because it was important to them: there ought to be as many for love. “- Margaret Atwood

Today My Sister who is featured here (@barefootedkid on Instagram) and I explored the woods with a more fashionista approach while freezing off our britches. To say the least the snow won that battle very quickly, turning our teas cold way to fast for our southern hands. Cold hands warm heart right? Well we headed right back inside to get properly dressed and head to the slopes aka… Our neighborhood hill. Everyone enjoy the weather! Wether it be cold or rays of sunshine:)

Have a stellar day rock on and shine on
